DONG Energy occupied 33 Grosvenor Place, Belgravia under two separate leases expiring in 2016. Its exceptional growth in the UK (from less than 10 employees in 2004 to c.400 by 2012) meant that additional offices were needed to accommodate the expansion in headcount.
McCalmont-Woods was appointed to research the London offices market; identify suitable property options and evolve a strategy for dealing with DONG’s various lease expiries, to include subsidiary companies.
Three additional leases were acquired in the building on coincidental lease terms to facilitate DONG’s eventual relocation to a new HQ.
